Harvest Food Pantry food: "I will like to take the time out to thank you and the Harvest House as well for all that Friendship House has done for me and my family....When I could not depend on no one else the Friendship House gave me and my family food to eat when all is gone in my home....They never turn me away....Keep up the good work and continue to keep hope alive for myself and many others."

Donate items to Friendship House to be sold on eBay and help us generate funds to support our agency. Here's how the program works. Donors should deliver or mail donations to:
Friendship House eBay Program
c/o First Baptist Church
309 N. Main Street
Royal Oak, MI 48073
Office hours for delivery are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Park in the lot behind the church and ring the doorbell.
Consider the following if you wish to donate:
- Items should have a value of $20 or more, or be a group of similar items that can be sold as a lot.
- Items should be in good repair. The exception is an antique for which a repair would reduce its value.
- Items should be relatively easy to ship (no bowling balls or treadmills, please!)
- If you wish to donate a large item that cannot be delivered (like a piano), you have to agree to let the purchaser pick it up at your home.
If a donated item has a value of $100 or more, Friendship House is willing to split the proceeds with the donor. Alternatively, the proceeds can be split between Friendship House and another favorite charity of the donor's choosing.
To see what is for sale by Friendship House, go to eBay.com and look for dfh4u as a seller (which stands for "Detroit Friendship House 4 You").
Questions? Call 248-990-4685.
Friendship House works in partnership with Charity Auto Auction in Detroit in order to raise funds to support the agency's programs including the food pantry, rent and utility assistance, community baby showers and more. 80% of the proceeds of the sale (minus a $50 flat towing fee and $120 for seller's fee) benefit Friendship House.
Example: Sale price is $1,900
$1,900
-$ 120 (seller's fee)
-$ 50 (towing fee)
Subtotal = $1,730
Times 80% = $1,384 to Friendship House
Virtually any car or truck is eligible to be donated:
- Vehicles do not have to be operational as long as they can be towed
- Vehicles should have clear title and keys
- Even wrecks and junkers are eligible-they might yield parts
- Charity Auto Auction will pick up cars anywhere in Michigan and Northern Ohio
- If the donor is not in Michigan or Northern Ohio, Friendship House and Charity Auto Auction will work with a partner program near the donor
To donate a car or for more information, call Friendship House at 313-871-7443.
